Hope, hope for better

Suddenly we are all faced, all faced by the epidemic infectious disease…

In a world where you can mentally travel from the origins to the continuous creations of the Universe without moving one-sixth of your lower limb, there exists, Human Beings…

NASA/JPL-Caltech(Pale Blue Dot)

For a moment, I want you to take a look at the picture above…

That is home, a place where all that there ever was and will be to exist, a place where at least 108 billion people have lived, and the vast majority of those whose lives were taken due to numerous uncertainties, more than 6 billion kilometers away from where you stand today.

“…think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.”

Putting an end to human life may just be off a better choice today, but for all we know, we are eternal.

There is more to life than there ever will be, today holds nothing greater than a revelation we are promised tomorrow, an anticipation for a better tomorrow is the least of all emotions we can put hope into for a rather different tomorrow.

So go on and hope, it’s the least you can do…

I pay homage to every family, friend, sister, brother that has lost a special human being once in their lives and I pay my last respects to the lives that were lost due to the virus.

Thank you.
